Location: Russia, Saint Petersburg, St. Petersburg

Additional information:

Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the St. Petersburg-based media Bumaga. This was demanded by the Prosecutor General’s Office back on February 24, the day Russia invaded Ukraine. «Bumaga published an explanation of the blocking from the Roskomnadzor notice: «[The website] contains deliberately false information of public significance, which poses a threat to the life and (or) health of citizens, a threat of mass disruption of public order and (or) public safety. In particular, informational materials about Russia’s alleged attack on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, according to the official sources of the Russian Federation, including the Russian Ministry of Defense, the above information does not correspond to reality, forms panic in people, creates preconditions for mass violation of public order and public safety».
