Denis Kamalyagin's parents' apartment was searched in the case of libel (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against the governor of the Pskov region Pavel Vedernikov. The journalist himself left Russia the day before. Searches were also conducted at six other locations in Pskov and the Pskov region on the same day; the apartments of journalists Svetlana Prokopyeva and Lev Shlosberg were among them. The reason for the searches was a post in the Telegram channel Gremyachaya Bashnya, in which the governor was accused of seeking to propagate himself in the war with Ukraine.
