Attack type:

  • Illegal impediments to journalistic activity, denial of access to information

Who attacked: Authorities

Source: NASH TV channel

Location: Ukraine, Mykolaiv Oblast, Mykolaiv

Additional information:

About 10 people, led by two deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council from the European Solidarity Party, tried to interrupt the live broadcast of the NASH TV channel, whose journalists were filming a story about Mykolaiv. The film crew was preparing a report in the museum of the underground guerrilla movement of World War II in the Mykolaiv region. During the tour, deputies of the city council Serhiy Tanasov and Stanislav Martirosov, as well as several people in masks, came to the museum. Tanasov started asking the host where Muraev (the owner of the NASH TV channel) was and demanded that the film crew «get on the buses and leave Nikolaev for Rostov». Later, people came to the museum with various posters that read: «Muraev the devil,» «Champion-Station-Russia,» and «Your land is Russia». They did not allow the tour to continue, blocking the way for the cameramen. Because of these actions, it was not possible to continue broadcast.
