Agabekov said that the day before he had been beaten by a mixed martial arts fighter for his coverage of alleged machinations with a land plot sold to a private individual to build an apartment building. Bulat Taibov, former deputy head of the Department of Architecture of Dagestanskiye Ogni, made the accusations; he was searched. Before the beating, Agabekov went to Taibov's house and recorded a video about the situation.
