Minister of Information Ihar Lutski threatened to block TUT.BY. Commenting to journalists on the deprivation of the country’s largest Internet portal of the status of «online media», he said that the Ministry of Information continued to monitor the materials of TUT.by for legal assessment. «In case of violation of the media law and other laws of the Republic of Belarus, warnings will be issued or demands to remove inaccurate information, or to suspend or stop the dissemination of such information by blocking», — said the Minister. The thing in question is Article 38 of the Law on Mass Media (prohibited information), as well as inaccurate information that could harm the public and state interests.
