Sasun Khachatrian, the former head of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia and the Chairman of the Anticorruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, filed a lawsuit against the editorial office of Zhoghovurd LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding to refute the information considered libel and compensate the damage caused to his honor and dignity. The reason for the lawsuit was the article published in the newspaper and on the website Armlur.am owned by the legal entity stating that Khachatrian, as a high-ranking official, failed to declare his expensive real estate and monetary means. The lawsuit is being considered.
