In Gomel, several employees of the city radio station 107.4FM were fired after one of them congratulated Russian journalist and blogger Yury Dud on his birthday in a live broadcast. The radio hosts in question were Marina Turovets, Yaraslau Bychkovsky, and Artsiom Zabiran. According to a friend of the latter, he was fired «just in case». The founder of the radio station is the executive committee of Gomel. Zerkalo writes that after the incident, the editorial boards of other Gomel state media started to be checked.
