Sociologist Iskander Yasaveyev has been fired from the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics as a senior researcher at the Center for Youth Studies. The scientist writes for Idel.Realities. The order to fire him was issued on October 10, and on October 7, the scientist was declared a «foreign agent». The official wording was «in connection with the employee’s refusal to continue his work in connection with a change in certain conditions of the employment contract». For 3 days, no one contacted Yasaveev regarding his work and the termination of his employment contract. In August, Yasaveyev and several other journalists were searched because of a video about an attack on the Russian ambassador to Poland.
