The editorial office of HOLA News Kazakhstan reported that for several weeks prior to the October 4 blocking, the website was subjected to cyber-attacks several times, which the technical service of the portal managed to repel. Since October 4 and up to the present time, HolaNews.kz website has been blocked for users not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad.
