The editorial board of The Village received an email from the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Public Development of Kazakhstan with a demand to remove the news about the inscription «Cancel» on the mural with the former president of the country Nazarbayev. The Committee believes that the online media posted material «desecrating the image of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan». The editorial board, having taken into account the letter of the Committee of Information, did not remove the material.
