Bakhrom Abdullayev, the journalist of the TV company Channel 31 who was covering the detention of protesting workers of the jewelry shop in one of the districts of Shymkent, was hurt his hand by the police who broke his umbrella when trying to close the camera. «Yesterday, we were filming a gathering of people. I was holding an umbrella over my cameraman as it was raining, a man in a police uniform took my umbrella and pulled it over the camera to cover the lens, the umbrella broke and I got a hand wound. Then, Davranbek, the cameraman of the Otyrar TV channel, was struck in the kidneys. He turned around and it turned out to be a police officer as well», — said Bakhrom Abdullayev, the Channel 31 correspondent.
