Additional information:

Raul Uporov was detained by the police an hour after the detention of the editor-in-chief, Lukpan Akhmedyarov. The formal reason for the detention was an APB, allegedly received for the car in which the journalists were traveling. According to Uporov, after Akhmedyarov was picked up right off the highway on the accusation of failing to show up for questioning, they drove on. But after a few kilometers, they were caught up by a police car and told to stop. The driver of the car was told that he was suspected of committing a traffic accident, which happened today in Uralsk, so his car was being detained by a tip-off. After that, the car was taken to Chapayevo to give explanations.
