A court in the Mangystau region found online activist Ulbolsyn Turdiyeva guilty of committing an administrative offense under the article «Defamation» and sentenced her to a fine of KZT 525,060 (more than USD 1200). The activist was accused of defamation by the head of the anti-extremism unit of the Mangystau Region Police Department for a post on Facebook.
