Nazymgul Kumyspaeva, the journalist of the Khabar TV channel, is threatened with murder by an unknown person. Kumyspaeva associates the threats with her professional activities and with the fact that she signed a petition to toughen the punishment for domestic violence. The unknown man sent the threats in personal messages. He wrote: «When you walk alone you will be attacked with a knife in the near future... I will pour acid on your face when you go to work alone. I’ll run you over with a car. I will ruin your reputation at work». The journalist filed a complaint with the Nur-Sultan Police Department. Later, it turned out that the man threatened at least 30 women.
