In July, the clones of websites of well-known Kazakh media appeared. Attackers added one extra letter to the domain names of Nur.kz, Newtimes.kz and Ratel.kz: the letter «u» to Nur.kz, the letter «s» to Newtimes.kz and the letter «t» to Ratel.kz. These mirror websites are owned by one user named Nurlan Aliev, said the editor-in-chief of Ratel.kz Marat Asipov. The address of the owner of the fake websites is in Karaganda, the postal code is in Almaty, and the phone number is Russian. General Director of MEDIA HOLDING ATAMEKEN BUSINESS LLP Kanat Sakharia said that at night from June 31 to July 1, the mirror of the inbusiness.kz website appeared as well.
