Cherkess activist and blogger Aslan Naptugov was arrested in Karachay-Cherkessia on charges of incitement of hatred by a group of people (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for two months. He was detained on May 24, trumped up the case of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation), arrested for 6 days, and then detained again after serving the term. On the day of his arrest, his apartment was searched. Naptugov’s activity in the international public union organization Solidarity attracted the attention of investigative authorities: he participated in raids of «public control», which, in particular, were devoted to the fight against forced vaccination. Six more people were detained in the same case.
