Russian peacekeeping forces banned Ani Gevorgyan, the correspondent of the MediaHub.am news website, from entering Nagorno-Karabakh. She was told that there were several journalists who were not allowed to travel to this unrecognized republic. Such an approach indicates a selective and discriminatory approach to representatives of various media outlets, depending on their "trustworthiness" as understood by the military. Faced with this problem, Gevorgyan contacted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh, David Babayan, hoping that he would find a solution, but he replied that there were security issues and advised her to try to come next time. The journalist was not able to get explanations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia either, and the Human Rights Defender's office suggested that she contact them in writing.
