Kuban businessman Oleg Makarevich filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation against Radio Svoboda and journalist Sergey Khazov-Сassia. Makarevich demands the removal of the article, which tells about the raiding of lands in the Krasnodar Krai. Makarevich is wanted in a criminal case for large tax non-payment. In his lawsuit filed with the Tverskoy District Court, Makarevich demands that the article «Peasants without Land,» including his personal data, be immediately removed from the online version of the North Caucasus service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s media project, Caucasus.Realities, and that a refutation be posted.
