Eight influential members of the U.S. Congress sent a letter to Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon urging him to help end pressure and threats against journalists of Radio Ozodi, the Tajik service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and their families. The letter states that Radio Ozodi journalists and their family members in the country and abroad are subjected to serious pressure from the authorities and even receive death threats.
