On April 19, 2022, in Kerch, while serving an administrative sentence, online activist Ilya Gantsevsky was questioned in a criminal case under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for publishing several materials condemning the war and actions of the Russian army in Ukraine. Earlier, Gantsevsky was detained by the Federal Security Service officers for several publications in which he condemned the war in Ukraine, emphasized the problem of the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and called for signing a petition to impeach Russian President Vladimir Putin. He was arrested for 14 days under Article 6.9 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without a medical prescription). After pressure, Gantsevsky pleaded guilty and did not insist on an expert examination.
