On April 12, 2022, Federal Security Service officers detained online activist Ilya Gantsevsky in Kerch on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). During the detention, the activist was subjected to force — he was thrown to the ground and hit in the head and body several times. Later, in the video, where he confesses, it is seen that he has an abrasion on his head.
