On April 12, 2022, the Federal Security Service officers detained online activist Ilya Gantsevsky in Kerch on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). On the same day, he was taken for an inspection, where the police «revealed» traces of drug use and detained him until morning at the Federal Security Service office without conducting an examination.
