Five members of the Spiritual Figures of Azerbaijan public association were detained – Sardar Babayev, Gadir Mammadov, Jalal Shafiyev, Ali Musayev, and Tamkin Jafarov. All of them also collaborated with the maide.az website. According to their relatives, they were detained on October 19 by the officers of the State Security Service. Their apartments were searched, as a result of which, the phones and computers were seized. Shafiyev and Mammadov were released in the morning but were detained again several hours later. On October 24, 2021, Gadir Mammadov, Jalal Shafiyev, Ali Musayev, and Tamkin Jafarov were released.
