Blogger Sameddin Mammadov was arrested in the Jalilabad District. Mammadov had recently been harshly criticizing the government and the local administration in his vlogs. His son was detained and taken to the police along with the blogger. At the police station, his son was beaten up. A criminal case was initiated against the blogger on fabricated charges (hooliganism). The journalist was detained until the trial. After a court hearing, he was released.
