Since the evening of March 3, the website of Meduza has been blocked for Russian users. At the same time, BBC, Voice of America, Radio Svoboda, and Deutsche Welle were blocked. Roskomnadzor stated that these media outlets were spreading «false information about the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine», as well as about «the methods of warfare (attacks on civilians, strikes on civilian infrastructure), quantitative losses of the Russian armed forces, and civilian casualties».
