The State Committee of National Security interrogated Perizat Saitburkan kyzy, the journalist of Next TV channel. However, she was not given a summons. Previously, the director of Next TV was arrested and taken into custody for two months; the TV channel's office was sealed off, its broadcasting was shut down, and its equipment and documentation were confiscated. The employees of Next TV are being questioned in a criminal case opened by the State Committee on National Security for incitement of ethnic hatred. The Committee claimed that the channel disseminated «false information via social networks about an alleged agreement on Kyrgyzstan's provision of military assistance to Russia during a special operation in Ukraine. Yet, the journalists quoted a statement by the former head of the Kazakh special service, which the Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense later denied.
