Along with the director of the Next TV channel, the channel's engineer Taalay Beishenbayev – a media worker who monitors the broadcast and has nothing to do with content production – was detained. He was released on the morning of the next day. A criminal case was opened against Next TV and the head of the channel for incitement of ethnic hatred. It is specified that the channel, using its resources in social networks, disseminated false information about an alleged agreement on Kyrgyzstan's provision of military assistance to Russia during the special operation on the territory of Ukraine. As a source, the media referred to the former head of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
