In Belgorod, the police detained the journalists of Novaya Gazeta Ilya Azar and Ivan Zhilin, as well as Radio Svoboda correspondent Sergey Khazov-Hassia and cameraman Andrey Kisilev who were filming a report about life in the city on the border with Ukraine. Law enforcers took an explanation from journalist Ilya Azar for the theft of RUB 60,000 from a pensioner who was selling honey. Later, the journalists were released.
