While conducting professional duties near the Crimean garrison military court building in Simferopol, police officers detained civilian journalist Zedin Adzhikelyamov among others. He was held in the detention centre for a day. The next day, he was not found guilty under Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (organization of mass simultaneous presence of citizens in public places, resulting in violation of public order) for lack of corpus delicti. Subsequently, the police appealed, and the Supreme Court of Crimea sent the case for reconsideration. On December 16, the Central District Court of Simferopol found the journalist guilty and fined him RUB 10,000.
