The Qashqadaryo regional court found the journalist of Tatfish.uz Elyor Tadjibaev (former journalist of Effect.uz) guilty of crimes under Part 2 of Article 219 (resistance to authority or a person performing a civil duty) and Part 1 of Article 236 (interference in the investigation or resolution of court cases) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sentenced him to two years and six months in prison. On April 7, 2021, a criminal case was filed against three journalists of Effect.uz. They went to the judge asking to be allowed to attend the open trial of the blogger Otabek Sattoriy, to which they were not allowed.
