Businessman Veaceslav Platon, who is accused of numerous financial frauds and had an affair with the former TV8 journalist Natalia Morari, has accused the journalist Mariana Rata of being an agent of the Moldovan secret service. After Rata's investigation about Platon's participation in a sсheme to steal a billion dollars from the Moldovan banking system, he said he would sue the journalist to protect his honour and dignity.
