The police officers came to Zinaida Timoshek's home in the suburb and demanded that she go with them to the police station. When asked to show a summons, they demonstrated handcuffs. At the police, the journalist was drawn up an administrative report for participation in an unauthorised street action (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and sent to the detention centre for three days until the trial, despite her health problems and the need to take medicines constantly. On October 26, the court found the journalist guilty based on the police report and fined her a large sum.
