The security officials detained the journalist when he was covering a protest rally. He was taken to the police department, where he was accused of participating in an unauthorized event. The police confiscated all his cash, phone, and flash drives, supposedly to guarantee the payment of a future fine. He was held in the detention centre for two days until the trial. On December 2, the court found the journalist guilty based on the police report and fined him a large sum.
