The police detained the photographer when he was covering Sunday's protest rally against the presidential election results and the security forces' violence. He was taken to the police department «to check the documents», where a report was drawn up on him for participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The photographer was held at the police station for about 10 hours and was released late at night.
