The reporter was detained when he was covering a picket of journalists near the Ministry of Internal Affairs building. He was taken to the Oktyabrsky District Police Department and later released, having been drawn up a report for petty hooliganism (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The reason was that the journalist accidentally pushed a man in the crowd – it turned out to be a plain-clothed policeman.
