On March 12, Moskovsky District Court of Minsk heard an administrative case against Uladzimir Tsikhanovich under Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus (participation in an unauthorized mass event or its organization). The blogger was accused of urging people to come to Belneftekhim to discuss the problem of rising fuel prices in his Telegram channel on February 24. The blogger was sentenced to 15 days of arrest but was not arrested until June 9.
