The journalist was detained by security officials when he was covering a protest action in the centre of the city. He was taken to the police department, where an administrative report was drawn up on him for participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences). He was held in the detention centre for three days until the trial. On October 23, the court found Maksim Khliebets guilty and arrested him for 15 days.
