Alesya Latinskaya was detained when she was covering a protest rally against the results of the presidential election. She was taken to the police department, where she was drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). She was placed in the detention centre until the trial, even though Alesya had a small child. On October 5, the court, having started considering the case, postponed it to the next day, and the journalist was released. On October 6, the court returned the documents to the police for revision.
