The journalist was detained by security officials when he was covering a protest action in the centre of the city. He was taken to the police department, where two administrative reports were drawn up on him: for alleged disobedience to police demands (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and for participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). He was held in the detention centre for two days awaiting trial. On October 19, the court found Zamirouski guilty and arrested him for 15 days.
