The Amtsakhara party registered in the separatist territory of Abkhazia issued a statement blaming journalist Izida Chania for the publication «The Sleeping Electorate Voted for the Past» posted on the Echo of the Caucasus website (Radio Tavisupleba project) on March 23, 2020. The statement called the publication «provocative» and «a failed attempt to „expose“ the elected president, his team, his supporters, and the electorate that voted for Aslan Bzhania’s team in the presidential election».
