Several journalists were attacked – two correspondents and two camera operators of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel and First Channel (Georgian TV channel). Correspondent Jeykhun Mukhammadali was taken to hospital with severe head injuries. First Channel cameraman Zaza Baramidze had his camera smashed during the attack. The journalists were reporting on the meeting of the local branch of the Georgian Dream ruling party, who demanded the journalists leave the meeting.
