The police detained the camera crew while covering the election rally of the presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. They were taken to the police department and drawn up reports on administrative offences (Article 22.9 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus – for cooperation with a foreign media without accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and their smartphones were confiscated. The journalists were held at the police station for about five hours.
