The journalist was detained on August 6 by the plain-clothed police officers near the Leninsky District Court. Journalists and human rights activists were waiting for the start of the proceedings against their colleagues detained the day before. He was taken to the police department and drawn up a report on violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was held in the detention center until the trial. On August 7, the court found Burakou (junior) guilty and arrested him for ten days.
