Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny arrested blogger Malika Dzhikaeva for two months. On April 9, this decision was upheld. On December 11, 2020, Zavodskoy District Court of Grozny charged her with drug possession (Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of drugs without the intent to sell, committed on a large scale») and sentenced her to three years in a strict regime colony. During the investigation, Dzhikaeva complained to her relatives about the pressure exerted on her in the pre-trial detention centre.
