Blogger Ramilya Saitova has been held in a pre-trial detention center since November 2020 on charges of publicly calling for extremism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for videos posted on YouTube. On March 5, 2021, the Kirovsky District Court ruled to extend the arrest until May 6. The case against the activist was opened due to statements in some videos on her YouTube channel.
