The Yuzhny District Military Court sentenced Seyran Saliev to 16 years in a strict regime colony and a year of restriction of liberty in the second Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.5 (participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation), Part 1 of Article 30 / Article 278 (preparation of a violent seizure of power), and Part 2 of Article 205.2 (propaganda of terrorism on the Internet) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
