Vasyunin and several of his colleagues were detained near the Ministry of Internal Affairs Head Office on Petrovka Street for individual pickets in support of Ilya Azar, a journalist and municipal deputy arrested for 15 days. Vasyunin was released from the police with a report under Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (violation of picketing rules).
