Blogger Aytahaji Halimov was sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime penal colony under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorism on the Internet) for three documentary videos about the Chechen war that were published on VKontakte. The blogger has been held in the pre-trial detention centre since the end of December 2019.
