On March 11, 2020, the house of citizen journalist of the Crimean Solidarity public association Amet Suleymanov was searched. He was detained and taken to the department of the Federal Security Service of the Republic of Crimea. In the evening, he was brought to the temporary detention centre and taken to court the next day.
