On March 23, 2020, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea extended the arrest for Osman Arifmemetov, a citizen journalist of the Crimean Solidarity association. During the hearing, it became known that he was additionally charged under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forcible seizure of power). Arifmemetov has been in custody since March 28, 2019. He is accused under Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization).
